According to paper received from Mildred Grubbs, January 4, 1999, Lou Ella Doll and her sister Stella's parents died. They came west in a covered wagon. If the parents died before or during the trip is unknown. Lou Ella was adopted by a family named Doll. Stella went to western Iowa with a family who adopted her. This family was probably named Skinner.
