Lotus T. "Shug" Halstead, 82, of St. Albans died Friday, Sept. 19, 1997 at home. He was the owner of the L.T. Halstead Company and a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Charleston. Surviving: daughters, Dr. Emma Louise Swain of Cary, N.C., Ann Klowman and Judi Thompson of St. Albans; son Larry Halstead of Greensboro, N.C.; brother, O.W. Halstead of St. Albans; sisters, Prue Ardens of Loma Linda, Calif., Mildred McNealy of Portland, Ore., Hellie May Rogers of St. Albans, Margaerite Cunnington of Cosmo, Wis; 10 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
