"Loretta Mitchell was actually born in Michigan, not Canada. I know she lived in Canada after she was born, but for some reason, she was born in Michigan. It is stated on census records. Her famil y came to Michigan now and then before they actually immigrated. Her father, James, bought property in Clare Co., Michigan around the time she was born. (I saw a land record.)"
