On 31 January 1783, brothers Titus and Ichabod Merriam deeded land which had fallen to their sister Susannah from the estate of their grandfather George Merriam. At that time, they were the only legal heirs to the said Susannah, indicating that sister Lois was deceased and had left no surviving issue.
