[edit] Lilly Leach: Biographical InformationThe Leach family has generational ties to Magnolia Garden Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. Willie J. Leach, the son of Ephraim and Isabella lived and worked for 30 years as gardener/superintendent at Magnolia Garden Plantation. His son, now in is early 80's has taken his place at the plantation where his own son, the fourth generation Leach family member is also employed. At this time little is known about Lilly Leach's adult life. Ephraim Leach and his wife Isabella appear on the 1910 Federal Census for Blake, Colleton County, South Carolina. Their household members were:
By 1920 the head of the household is no longer listed as Ephraim but as Smith Leach and the family now includes Lilly aged 8, Matthias aged 6 and Hattie aged 3. On the 1930 census we find Smith Leach but Isabella is no longer in the household. Some of the girls have married and are in his household with their children.
