Lila Marie Frogge, age 87, of Centerville, Iowa, died Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born the daughter of Ellsworth and Ethel(Woods)King on January 9, 1922 in Carlisle, Iowa. She graduated from the Numa Community Schools in 1939.
In 1940, Lila was united in marriage to Rudolph Marrone; then later on September 12, 1952, she was united in marriage to Jasper Frogge in Kirksville, Missouri. She worked as a hairdresser early in her life; she worked a short time in the Post Office of Numa, Iowa as a Post Master. However, her greatest joy was being a homemaker for her family. She was a member and was baptized in the Church of Christ in Centerville, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; first husband, Rudollph Marrone in 1950 and her 2nd husband, Jasper Frogge on August 21, 1999.
Lila is survived by: her daughters, Linda Rigler and her husband, Wilson of Centerville, Iowa, Brenda Cloyed and her husband, Ron of Blakesburg, Iowa and Sharyl Frogge of Washington, Iowa; a son, Gary Marrone and his wife, Sally of Fort Pierre, South Dakota; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; sisters, Doris Olson of Shelton, Washington and Phyllis Beeler of Numa, Iowa.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Centerville, Iowa with Rev. Terry Chapman officiating. Burial of her ashes will be in the Numa Cemetery at Numa, Iowa. No visitation is planned at theis time and memorials can be made to the Numa Cemetery.
