Lewis Peyton/Payton was an early pioneer of Indiana and Kentucky. His wife was Winifred Followell and they had as many as 12 children. Most if not all of the children were born in Stanford, Lincoln Co., KY. They had James 1787, Abraham 1789, Nimrod 1791, Lewis 1791, Augustus 1793, Frances 1796, Isabel Nancy 1798, Theodocia 1799, Nelson 1801, John 1802, Bluford 1805, and Demarcus.
