Lewis BAILEY served at Fort Erie, Province of Upper Canada. he was wounded in the right foot by a bomb while in defense of Fort Erie on or about Sept. 10, 1814. he was thus "rendered incapacitated for military duty". There is an affidavit from Jackson Co., Michigan where he seems to have lived for a time after the war. His address, however, is given as Fabius, Onondaga Co., NY. His wife was Hannah HAIGHT. His first wife was Betsy COLLINS. |
