Levi Sweatt and his first wife, Adaline Howe (m 1831) had six children, with three dying young. Jane Augusta Adelaide Sweatt (known as Jennie) was their last child born June 17, 1844. She married George Henry Shirley on June 24th, 1865. They had two children, with George Morrison Shirley born April 25th, 1882. George Morrison married Eleanor Sabine Potter ("Bina") on April 25th, 1908. George and Bina had two children, including my father, Morrison Potter Shirley born Dec 29th, 1913. I was born November 29, 1947.
