    Lethe Smith, 77, of Kirbyville, Texas passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at his home.

    Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at the Bean Cemetery in Kirbyville. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2016, in the Adams E.E. Stringer Funeral Home, Kirbyville, Texas 75956.

    Born Feb. 20, 1939 in Call, Texas to Elmer and Elsie Smith, he had lived most of his life in Kirbyville and was a retired operator with Temple-Inland Paper Mill in Evadale, a member of the paperworkers union #801, and president of the Gravel Pit Hunting Club.

    He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ruth Smith. Survivors include his children, Edward “Eddie” and Heather Smith of Silsbee, and Debi Greene of Hemphill; brother, Coonie and Bonita Smith of Kirbyville; sister, Patricia Sanford of Silsbee; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and a special friend, Linda Ferguson.
