    Leta May Hargrove, 99, of Bowie, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 01, 2014.

    Funeral services will be at 2:00PM, Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Joy Baptist Church in Joy, Texas with Rev. Mike Henson pastor of the First Baptist Church in Bowie, Texas officiating. Burial will be in the Joy Cemetery in Joy, Texas under the direction of Davis Funeral Home in Henrietta.

    Mrs. Hargrove was born on September 19, 1914 in Prospect, Texas to Reuben Watson and Lillie May (Gifford) Slaughter. She married Leonard "Tim" Hargrove on July 27, 1933 in Buffalo Springs, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of the Joy United Methodist Church.

    Mrs. Hargrove was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard "Tim" Hargrove; two sons, Jon and Don; brother, Worsham Slaughter.

    Survivors include three sons, Larry Hargrove and wife Jackie of Bowie, Texas, Ron Hargrove and wife Barbara of Richardson, Texas and Tom Hargrove and wife Lora of Wichita Falls, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sherry Hargrove of Big Springs, Texas; five grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
