    It is the sad duty of the TIMES to chronicle the death of Leanora N. Locke, wife of Judge A. L. [Almyer Leake Slack] who died on Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1883, at 8:10 p.m. She had been in bad health for some time but was not considered dangerously sick, and on the morning of her death, was feeling better than usual. She leaves seven children to mourn her loss and a large circle of friends will join their tears to those of the bereaved husband and children.
