Leonard C. Gasta, prominent Mcrritt township implement dealer who was instantly killed Thursday Afternoon [7 Apr 1941] when his automobile struck a Pere Marquette train on Center Avenue Road, will b e buried Monday morning. The services at the home will be at 8:30 o'clock and at St. Stanislaus church a half, hour later with Rev Father L. Krakowski officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick's cem etery.
Mr. Gasta was born in Butte, Mont., Dec. 3, 1909, and had lived in Bay County the past 21 years. He was a member of St. Stanislaus parish, the Fraternal. Order of Eagles and the .Essexville Knights . of Columbus under whose auspices the funeral will be conducted.
The survivors are his .widow, Julia; one son, Daniel, and- one daughter, Marlene, all at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Gasta, and three brothers, Chester, Clinton and Eugene, all of Bay City, a nd one sister, Mrs, Dorothy Gower, of Muskegon. Mr, Gasta, as a member of the township fire department, was answering a fire alarm when the the tragedy occured.
