Rev. George Connell of the Waverly M.E. Church officiated. Mr. Carey was eighty-one years old, and had resided in the home in which he died for fifty years. He was a life long member of the M.E. church and had always taken an active part in its different branches of work. Mrs. Carey died five months ago. Their children are Willis and James of Waverly, Theron of Middletown, New York, United States, Herman and Leon at home, Harvey of Poughkeepsie, Mrs. Andrew Harsh, Mrs. William Shipman, Mrs. James Shaw of Waverly. He is also survived by a half-brother, Ezra Carey of Barton.
