BODE, Leonard, Sr., age 59 years, of Lynden, passed away at his home Thursday, August 2, (1951). Mr. Bode had been a resident of the Lynden district for the past 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Clara; three daughters, Mrs. Don Ross, Mrs. Clarence Smith and Pauline Bode; two sons, John L. and Leonard M., all of Lynden; two sisters, Mrs. A. P. Jongeneel, of Lynden, Mrs. Mary Dudley, of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one brother, Gerrit Bode, of Lynden. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, August 4, at 2 p. m. from the First Reformed Church in Lynden, with the Rev. Gerritt Reintjes officiating, under direction of Gillies funeral home in Lynden. Interment, Monumenta.
