Feb. 18, 1911 Funeral of Mrs. Charles FenimoreThe sad death of Mrs. Charles Fenimore, daughter of Mr. R. A. Richardson, calling from earth a yound woman of only twenty-six, happy in her home life and beloved of many friends aroused much sympathy in the community, and the Presbyterian church was filled this morning for her funeral services.The W. R. C. and lodges of the Maccabees, of both orders Mrs. Fenimore having been a valued member attended in a body and were seated in the body of the church.Rev. Campbell, pastor of the Presbyterian church, and Rev. D. H. Jones, the former pastor, now of Lima, conducted the services jointly.Rev. Campbell read the memoir and spoke briefly of the brave, cheerful young woman who through over a year of illness and growing weakness never lost her buoyant, happy courage.Rev. Jones paid to Mrs. Fenimore a beautiful tribute as a woman who filled woman';s special sphere in the noblest way and spoke of his own personal acquaintance a pastor with much feeling.Very beautifully a quartet, Mr. and Mrs. Werter Shoop, Mrs. Arthur Burgett and Mr. Harry Campbell sang "Face to Face" and "Asleep in Jesus" and Mrs. Shoop sang a solo, "Good Night"The W. R. C. followed Rev. Jones with their tender memorial services.In great number were the floral remembrances, including special designs from the W. R. C., the Landy Maccabees, the Knights Templar, the improved Order of Red men, East End chapel, Freshmen class of the High School, Mrs. hopkins' Sunday school class and from Springfield relatives.The pall bearers were Messrs Edgar Snider, John Wilson, Jess Blackmore, George Gregg, Jas Smith, ?Friends here from a distance were Mr. Fenimore's father, Mr. John Fenimore, and brother, Strawder of Springfield, the sisters of the deceased, Mrs. Ward Terry and Mrs. Sanderson and their husbanrds of Dayton. Mr. and Mrs. Chas McGuire of Mt. Sterling.
