    COOK, Leonard C., age 79, formerly of 411 5th St. Lynden, passed away in a local rest home Sunday, June 7, (1964) following an extended illness. A retired painter and decorator, he had made his home in Lynden since 1912. He was a member of the Third Christian Reformed Church. Surviving are his wife, Johanna; 3 sons, Dr. John Cook of Lynden, Marinus Cook of Yakima, William J. Cook of Spokane; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lena Martin of Bellingham, Mrs. Gertrude VanderKamp and Mrs. Joanne Pasma both of Ripon, California; a brother, William Cook and a sister, Mrs. Rieka Van Ankum, both in Holland; also 22 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in Third Christian Reformed Church Wednesday, June 10, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bernard Byma officiating. Burial will follow in the Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.
