According to the Sallie DeWitt 1981 Genealogy, Lee Madison was Lee DeWitt's first grandson, and was his namesake. Lee's five daughters all attempted to incorporate the name of their father into their offspring (eg Leesa, Natalee, Julee, Eileen, etc.).

Lee Madison was a cheerful and hard worker. He eventually became the owner-operator of Hodgens Upholstery on Kostoryz Street, in Corpus Christi, taking over the family business from his father. He and his wife, Ethel, owned a home at 1010 Nile Street, in Pharaoh Valley, Corpus Christi. He was a person known for his good humor, and happy disposition. The Sallie DeWitt 1981 Genealogy states that "being successful took its toll and Lee Madison took his own life at his home at 1010 Nile in Corpus Christi. He had been suffering with bleeding ulcers and could not see a clear future for himself." After his death his upholstery shop was run by his son-in-law, Willy Hughes, who married Patricia Hodgens.
