Funeral services for Mrs. LeErma Hilburn White, 78, were to beheld at 10 a.m. today, May 16, 2005, at Bailey Mortuary in Springhill with the Rev. Wayne Reeves officiating. Burial was to follow at Plain Dealing Cemetery. Mrs. White was born Oct. 23, 1926 in Bradley, Ark., to Ollie Vester and Mary Pauline Smith Hilburn, and passed away Saturday, May 14, in Springhill, following a lengthy illness. She was a resident of Springhill since 1954, a member of Temple Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandsons, Larry Gene Jenkins Jr., Douglas Wayne Brooks; and her great-grandson,Colton William Edward Jenkins. She is survived by her husband, Bert G. White Sr.; daughters, Margie Beth Anderson of Mt. Jackson, Va., Barbara Jo Compton of Plain Dealing; sons, Bert G. White Jr. and wife Frances of Front Royal, Va., Benny Ray White and wife Barbara Ann of Springhill; sisters, Ethelene Harris of Plain Dealing, Lorene Rachel and husband Joe of Blanchard; brothers, James Hilburn and wife Lillie Mae, David “Buddy” Hilburn Sr.; sister-in-law, Peralee Hilburn, all of Plain Dealing; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were to be Bill Hays, David Camp, Chuck Totty, HueySlack, Kevin Edwards and Gary Shelton.
