Odd as it may seem, it appears that there are 2 different gravestones for the same young child. Both name the child as Lawrence and identify his parents as T M and M O Tinsley. The dates on the gravestones overlap, making it unlikely that they were 2 different children (if they were different children, the family would have had 2 sons named Lawrence at the same time).

In the 1900 census, the mother indicates that she had borne 8 children, 6 of which were living^[3]. Since her son Clarence died in 1882, that only leaves one other child that died before 1900.

Undoubtedly one or both of the gravestones (which are in the same cemetery) was erected significantly after the death of the child, using faulty information. (Possibly one of the children had different parents and the parents were identified incorrectly on the gravestone.)
