Facts and Events
death certificate: cause of death, cancer of the prostate and throughout the body, heart attack; kidney failure Story told to Maggie McNeill: L.T. cut his chin on a tombstone before he was 4 1/2. He was spinning on his stomach on top of one headstone, lost his balance and clunked his chin into a square one." Family story: He and his siblings were abandoned in Santa Rosa by his mother, Clara who took Estelle and went to SF to become a prostitute and madam. The younger kids were driven to the home of John and Mary Gibson in Potter where various family members took them in. Lilly Gibson took LT and raised him up. Later when she and her husband had a son, Henry, L.T. once hooked a goat up to a wagon to pull young Henry in. Henry (or L.T.) whipped the goat with a switch and the wagon got overturned. LT himself got switched for that. (This last part told me by LT.) References
