"Gone to join the Angels Peace for Evermore".

Laura Mason Lanman - There has gone from our midst a most loveable companion, a truly angel mother, a kind and loving sister and an affectionate neighbor. Her life ws filled with light for all, in the church, in society and in the home. Her Earth life is ended. It was filled with good deeds, which built for her a beautiful home in the Celesial Kingdom. Laura Mason was born near Grandview, Spencer County, Ind., in 1835 and departed from this life Oct.5th, 1907 aged 72 years. She was united in marriage to John W. Lanman in 1854. To this union was born five children: Mrs. August Eiceman, of near Chrisney; Mrs. C. P. Turner, of Grandview; Mrs. John Dolan, of Bloomington; Mr. J. W. Lanman, of Cornishville, Ky. and Ferdinand Lanman, of Ft. Worth, Texas. Besides the children one sister, Mrs. Anna Parker, of Rockford, Ill., and two brothers, J. R. Egnew and Wm. Egnew, of Chrisney, survive her. The husband, one sister and two brothers having preceded her to her heavenly home. She joined the Baptist church in childhood, but later joined the M. E. church. Funeral services were held in the M. e. church at Grandview, Oct 7th, at 2 o'clock, after which the interment was in the Grandview cemetery. An immense concourse of friends were present and showed the high esteem in which Mrs. Lanman was held. Her memory will ever be held in the hearts of all. "She is not dead." Her lovely spirit, free and beautiful, yet lives; reborn in Heaven.
