    BENJAMIN COOK, son of Benjamin and Hannah Cook, married April 19, 1770, Esther Rice, dau. of Reuben Rice of Wallingford. He died 1821, ae. 78 years. He was a large, corpulent man.

    [cos1776 Note: Per Barbour VRs, Benjamin Cook married a "Mrs. Esther Royce [sic]" which indicates that Esther was previously married and probably a widow. It is not impossible that her maiden name was also Rice/Royce, but additional evidence is needed to prove that she was the d/o Reuben Rice. Also, 317 Betsey is not listed in the Barbour VRs with her other siblings.]
