STEWARTVILLE -- The funeral for Kenneth G. Pattridge will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stewartville, with the Rev. Lyle Fritsch officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Pleasant Grove. Mr. Pattridge, 88, a longtime farmer in Pleasant Grove Township, rural Stewartville, died Monday (Nov. 14, 2005) at the Stewartville Care Center, where he had lived for three weeks. Kenneth George Pattridge was born Dec. 25, 1916, at Simpson, and grew up on the family farm. He attended rural schools and graduated from Chatfield High School in 1935. He married Helen Hoffman in Great Falls, Mont., and they moved to Lincoln, Mont., where he worked in the lumber industry at a sawmill. The family moved to rural Pleasant Grove in 1942, where they farmed on the family farm and had lived since. Mrs. Pattridge is a farm homemaker. He was a longtime member of St. John's Lutheran Church and was a past officer of the Pleasant Grove School Board. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing cards and visiting with friends. Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Marlene (Kenneth) Sabatke, Sharon (Skip) deCathelineau and Barbara (Kenneth) Culberton, all of Rochester, and Jeannine Vance of Florence, Ore.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Vivian Stettler of Chippewa Falls, Wis. He was preceded in death by a sister, a brother and a grandson.
