Mrs. Katie M. Fleshner, 87, of 412 W Menomonee St., died at 10:50 pm Sunday at St Joseph's Hospital after a short illness.
She was born Feb 7, 1881 in Waterloo, Iowa and was educated in that city. She was married to Gust Fleshner who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Fleshner is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mae Kleasner, with whom she lived, Mrs. Eva Clark, Watsonville, Calif., and Mrs. Lendra Elkins, Clarksville, Ark.; two sons, Albert of Texas, and Walter of Oklahoma; one sister, Miss Carrie Meyers, Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
Two sisters and two brothers also preceded Mrs. Fleshner in death.
The Rev George Ballein of First Baptist Church will officiate at funeral rites at 2 pm, Wednesday in Witbeck-Wheeler-Sabien Funeral Home. Interment will be in Belvidere Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after Tuesday noon.
