The young woman looks like Irene, her oldest daughter. The boywould be Luther Fred Swan, Irene's oldest son. Irene lives in anursing home in Longview, Tx. Irene is in her 90's. Laviniatold me that her sister, Irene is not doing very well. I sawIrene a couple of years ago at her sister, Mildred Burns'funeral in Minden. Luther Fred and his wife Mareilene hadbrought her for the funeral. Luther Fred is in his late 70'sand lives in Overton, Tx. He ran the Exxon station at theOverton exit on I 20 for years. Luther Fred worked in the oilfields with his Daddy, Everett Swan before he opened the Exxonstation. Irene and Everett had 3 boys Luther Fred, Glenn, andWilliam. Glenn lives in the Dallas area and runs a florist. ( Ithink!) William lives in Corpus Christi and is a verysuccessful orthopedic surgeon. I will get dates and correctspelling of names, etc. from Lavinia.

Compare this picture to the picture of Aunt Katie and the Adkinsbrothers. I believe this picture was made the same day. AuntKatie has on the same dress. Lavinia said that Aunt Katie hatedthe picture with the brothers because she had all her teethpulled the day before. Lavinia will know if this is the sameday. She said that she was there the day the picture was made.She said that it was made at Grandma Adkins' house in Sarepta.I will find out. I wish Lavinia had a computer and email.

I love this picture because this is the way I remember AuntKatie. She was a sweet and funny lady. Thanks for sharing. Iam wanting to do nothing but stay on the computer and research.I still am working part time as a greeting card merchandiser andmy husband, Parker and I also help our son-in-law in hisinsurance office. We stay very busy.
