    Katherine Lucille Rector, 83, Nevada, died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2002, at Nevada Regional Medical Center, following a brief illness.

    She was born Feb. 2, 1919, in Humboldt, Kan., to Carl H. Bolton and Nellie Harper Bolton. She married Loren E. Rector on Dec. 14, 1941, in Nevada, and he preceded her in death in 1986.

    She spent most of her life in Nevada, where she was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church. She loved the outdoors and was a fishing and hunting enthusiast.

    Survivors include a son, Gregory A. Rector, Olathe, Kan,; a granddaughter, Leigh Anne Rector, also of Olathe; a brother, Carl Bolton II and wife Norma, Reeds Spring; and a nephew, Carl Bolton III, Overland Park, Kan.

    Memorial services will be held Thursday, 10 a.m., at All Saints Episcopal Church, the Rev. Mimi Savidge officiating. Private committal services will be held in Deepwood Cemetery. Friends may call now and until 9:30 a.m., Thursday, at Ferry Funeral Home.

    Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or the All Saints Episcopal Church in care of the funeral home.
