"Miss [Mary Pepperell] Sparhawk's mother was Elizabeth Bartlett, who married N. Sparhawk. Esq. She died two years after her marriage, which so much affected her only sister Catharine, that she soon followed her sister to an early grave."
[The marriage was 1780, the death of Elizabeth 1782, so we expect Catharine's death aroudn 1785 if this this correct. It is not found in Haverhill VRs. Source:Howard, Cecil Hampden Cutts. Genealogy of the Cutts Family in America, p. 515,tlet says she died unmarried, but does not give a date.]
