Possibly she was Catharina Schäfer born 27 Nov 1841 and christened 30 Nov 1841 at Johannesthal,​ Odessa,​ Kherson,​ Russia, daughter of Heinrich Schäfer,​ Gottliebia Hartlaub.

There are reports that Andreas Delzer married Katharina Schaefer on 6 Nov 1878 at Johannestal. Presumably this would be the second marriage for both since they each had children before 1878.

Possibly she was Catharina Nuss born 31 July 1843 and christened 4 Aug 1843 at Rohrbach, Russia (near Saint Petersburg), daughter of Georg Nuss and Eva Klund.

In the 1920 census Katharina was recorded with her daughter "Eva Beller" (divorced) who was born in Russia ca 1869. This daughter Eva Boehler (possibly from Katharina's prior marriage) is found in the 1930 census living in Minneapolis MN with her sons Henry, John and Chris.
