Facts and Events
Name[1] Karl Yentes
Gender Male
Birth[1] 31 Jan 1828 Baden
Marriage to Elisabetha Christina Graf

Karl was born in Baden. Baden was a former principality in southwestern Germany, next to the former Kingdom of Wuerttemberg. To the west, and across the Rhine River was France. To the south was Switzerland.

Where was Karl buried? In "White Creek's" data, there is no answer.

However, after thinking about Karl Yentes some more, "White Creek" has reconsidered that perhaps he (and his wife) were buried in Tuscarawas County, Ohio; because his only daughter, who is listed in WeRelate, was born in Canal Dover (just "Dover, Ohio" now). She married George Grimm, also born in Tuscarawas Co., Ohio. It is likely Carolina Katherine (b. 1860) had siblings. Where are they? George Grimm and Carolina Katherine Yentes, had a son, Charles Christian Grimm, who married Ella LOWER, a great-aunt of this compiler.

There is also the issue of William YENTES. He was born in 1872, and therefore is probably not a son of Karl Yentes. A grandson? He and many of his descendants are buried in the Urbana Cemetery. Karl Yentes' descendants are also, but none have the Yentes surname. They have surnames from Tuscarawas County, such as: Grimm, Pretorius, Karns, and Eiler. There must be a connection between these two YENTES lines!
