Julia Harris, 81 of Bloomington, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at OSF St. Frances Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 12pm at Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington. Cremation rites will be accorded. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
Julia was born on February 3, 1938 in Armington, Illinois to Walter and Mabel Marie (Myers) Temple.
Julia is survived by her children, Rick (Linda) Gordon, Debbie (Tommy) Rowe, Robin (Jim Hahn) Holzhauer, Christy Gordon, Cindy (Bobby) Effinger, Steve (Peggy) Gordon, Jeff Gordon, Danny Gordon and Darryl Gordon. Also surviving are 23 grandchildren, 31 great- grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister, Dorothy Freeman and her brother, Vernon Temple.
She is preceded in death by her parents; 2 husbands and 3 brothers
Julia worked for the US Postal Service as a rural carrier in Bloomington and later as a Postal Clerk in Maine before her retirement.
Julia was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
