She attended Fletcher Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church in Liberty Township, Fairfield County, Ohio, where she was a teacher and was “long remembered for her deep religious experience.” She lived at home with her father in Walnut Township until his death. Afterwards, she lived and worked as a housekeeper in the home of Solomon and Emma Kellar in Baltimore, Ohio. She purchased 1/7 of an acre on the westside of Mill Street in Baltimore on December 22, 1898. She paid $450 for it and sold it just over seven years later for $800. Frances moved to the Methodist Home for the Aged in Cincinnati, Ohio, on 25 April 1917. She died there three years later of apoplexy at 11 p.m. on 6 November 1920, and is buried in Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Ohio.
