    Published in the Ingham CountyDemocrat on Feb 9, 1905 p.5 col 4 - OBITUARY - Julia Ann Francisco was born Aug 31, 1831 in the town of Permela, Jefferson Co, NY. She was united in marriage with James Swan on Mar 4, 1852 at Knowlesville, Orleans, NY. [They] deciding on Michigan for their future home, they started on the 4th of May, coming by boat from Buffalo to Detroit, then finishing the journey by stage arrived at a brother's who lived in Ingham Twp. During the summer they purchased the farm which has been her home since. They moved from the log house into a frame house in 1867. She was stricken with apoplexy on Jan 21, 1905, and passed into the higher life Jan 31, being 73yrs & 5mos. old. Five children were born to this union, four of whom survive her - Reuben, Robert, George & Mrs J.A.Davidson, all live in Ingham but Geo who lives in Blanchard, Isabella County..
