Joyce "Eileen" Yoder Oct. 29, 1926 -- Feb. 7, 2003

Joyce "Eileen" Yoder, 76, of Kansas OH, died Friday at Fremont Memori al Hospital.

She was born in Amsden to Nash and Laura (Rouser) McHaffie. On Sept. 11, 1 945 she was married to Robert E Yoder in Fostoria, and he survives.

Mrs. Yoder was a homemaker and a former Post Mistress in Kansas. She w as a 1944 graduate of Jackson Liberty High School. Mrs. Yoder was one of t he first women to be trained as a volunteer firefighter and was a memb er of the Kansas Fireman's Auxiliary and a retired Kansas volunteer firefi ghter.

She belonged to Kansas United Methodist Church and was a sunday school tea cher. She was a leader of the Kansas Majorettes and assisted with the Kans as Sunflower's 4-H club. Mrs. Yoder also was the secretery for the Kans as Cemetery.

She loved to sew, hunt for mushrooms, watch auto racing and go to bingo.

Mrs. Yoder is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Ellis (Sharo n) Barnett of Plymouth and Mrs. Terry (Eugena) Wellington of Kansas OH; b rothers Nash and Robert McHaffie, both of Toledo; sister Thelma Litt le of Tiffin; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preced ed by her parents, brother Doyle "Lucky" McHaffie, and an infant brothe

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Harrold-Floriana Funer al Home, Fostoria.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Reverend Ivan Schwenn wi ll officiate.

Burial: Kansas Cemetery.
