28 Oct 1684: Humphrey Johnson of Hingham for himself and as assignee of Mr. Resolved White of Marshfield, and Josiah Holmes of Duxbury as assignee of his father William Holmes deceased lodge complaint against township of Scituate.
5 Jan 1720/21, acknowledged 8 May 1721: Deed of Josiah Holmes of Scittuate having in 1713 sold for £100 to Thomas Lambert jun'r late of Pembroke now of Scittuate, parcels of land in Pembroke, and he having sold in 1717 to my Son John Holmes late of Pembroke now of Scittuate, does confirm title to my Son John Holmes.
