    Case 21261: Flagg, Josiah, Worcester, 1774.

    Will of "Josiah Flagg of Worceater ... Yeoman being in a Weak & Languishing Condition", dated 19 Feb 1774, codicil 21 Feb 1774, proved 2 May 1774, names wife Hannah ["furniture she Brought to me at the time of our marriage"], daughter Elizabeth Knight; son Jonathan Flagg; remainder of personal estate equally divided between six sons viz't Josiah, Jonathan, Elijah, Joel, Amos & Silas; proceeds of real estate sale: interest on portion to widow, and remainder split among eight sons viz't Josiah Jonathan Elijah Joel Amos Silas Levi and Joshua Flagg. Son Josiah and Jonathan to be executors.
    6 May 1774: Inventory of the Estate which mr Josiah Flagg Late of Worcester Died Seized of, by Josiah Peirce, Silas Moore, Jonathan Cutting: £678=6=11.
    2 Jul 1776: Receipt of Hannah Flagg, given to Josiah & Jonathan Flagg Executors to thare Fathers Estate last of worcester Dec'd.

    7 May 1777: Account of Josiah Flagg & Jonathan Flagg Executors to the last Will & Testament of their late Honored Father, Josiah Flagg of Worcester deceased, includes legacy to Elizabeth Knight, and to Jonathan Flagg. Judge's decree that balance of £156.1.5.2 to divided per will among Josiah, Jonathan, Elijah, Joel, Amos and Silas Flag sons of the deceased, and proceeds of real estate sale £453.6.8. Interest on widow's share to be paid to her during her life, then principle divided among 8 sons at her decease.
