Shopkeeper", dated 18 JUn 1747, proved 14 Apr 1752, names wife Hannah ["all that she Brought with her at the time of Our Intermarriage", "if in Case her Death should be before mine then the same to be returned to her Children"]; daughter Rebeckah; Pastor or Elder of the Church to which I Belong; son Josias; son Elisha; sons Josias, Elisha, Ebenezer; "Children hereafter named ... Josias, Mary, Abigail, Sarah, Elisha, Ebenezer". Sons Josias & Elisha to be executors with Daniel Ballard and Joseph Belknap (overseers? some words missing in this recorded version].
    Vol. 46, p. 147 : Inventory of Josias Byles late of BostonShopkeeper dece'd: £1156.3.3 1/4, by Nath'll Barber, John Holyoke, Henry Berry. Notation suggests there are "Possession which he will not Lett the Appraisers View". Additional, non-totalled items, added, including "539 Acres of Land at Ashford in Connecticut".
