William Reed of Abington, Capt'n Ebenezer Byram, Mr. Recompence Cary, Mr Eben'r Alden & Mr John Orcutt all of Brdigewater directed to view real estate that "mr Josiah Allen late of Bridgewater afores'd deceased" owned and to set off dower to "Mrs Mary Allen Relict Widow of ye Deceased" and divide the residue into nine parts.
The Settlement of ye Housing & Lands & real Estate of Josiah Allen late of Bridgewater in the County of Plymouth deceased", dated 23 Mar 1733, mentions "Mary Allen Widow of ye deceased", "Mary Allen one of ye Daughters of ye s'd deceas'd", "Esther Allen one of ye daughters of ye s'd deceas'd", "Sarah Allen ond of ye daughters of ye s'd deceased", "Betty Allen one of the daughters of ye s'd Deceased","Nathan Allen one of ye sons of ye s'd Deceased", "Josiah Allen one of ye Sons of ye deceased", "William Allen one of ye Sons of ye s'd Deceased", "Micah Allen ye Eldest Son of ye s'd Deceased" (double portion).
