Josiah Allen Son of Ebenezer & Elizabeth Allen born March the : 31 : 1708.
Source:Bond, Henry. Genealogies of the Families and Descendants of the Early Settlers of Watertown, Massachusetts, including Waltham and Weston (1860), p. 5, gives the first marriage of Josiah to Elizabeth Sanger and their three children, but then suggests that Josiah m. (2) Mary Flagg in 1748. Frankly, this second marriage does not make any sense or have evidence to support it (both families had children named Josiah and Mary, there are no death records of these children or wife Elizabeth inbetween, significant age difference with Mary Flagg). Records found in Source:Weston, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States. Town of Weston, Births, Deaths and Marriages, 1707-1850 (p. 419: admitted 20 Feb 1736-7, notation "remov'd"; pp. 443-450: not in list of members in 1744), suggest this Josiah moved away from Weston by 1744. It is far more likely that this "second" marriage in 1748 actually involved a different Josiah Allen.
