Joshua Babcock (son of Elder Elkanah Babcock) late of Westerly deceased died intestate leaving widow Nancy Babcock who was daughter of John Crandal & an infant daughter Nancy Babcock 2 months old. The widow was still called Nancy Babcock 30 Apr 1810. By 13 Oct 1815 the widow appears to be Nancy Maryott. On 10 Jan 1823 Nancy Babcock (daughter?) signs a receipt as sole heir to the estate of Joshua Babcock deceased. 30 Aug 1802. Pps. 190-192, 198-200, 205-206.
