“Mr. Everingim married, in 1875, Josephine A. Rutherford, who was born in Peru township, Huron county, Ohio, a daughter of James Rutherford. Her grandfather, John Rutherford, was born in New York city, but soon after his marriage moved to Lansingburg, New York, where he was engaged in the pork packing business the remainder of his life. James Rutherford was born in Lansingburg, New York, and was there engaged in business with his father for a time. Coming from there to Ohio, he was a pioneer of Lyme township, where he bought a tract of prairie land, at the same time buying timbered land in Sherman township. Building a house, he lived in Lyme township a few years, and then sold and bought a timber tract in Peru township, cleared a space, and in it built the log house in which Mrs. Everingim was born. He improved a part of the land, built a frame house, and at the end of a few years sold out and removed to Ridgefield township, where he bought a farm, on which he lived some time. Removing from there to Monroeville, he lived here retired until his death1 CONC , spending his last days with Mr. and Mrs. Everingim, passing away at the advanced age of ninety-three years. His wife, whose maiden name was Abbv Raver, died at the age of sixty-four years.
