    "Joseph (Woodruff) b 7 July 1716 d 7 Oct. 1799 Farmington … Served in the Revolutionary War in Capt. Benjamin's Company, enlisting 16 Aug. 1780 and again 20 Oct. 1780 under Lt. Ashbel Smith. His will was dated 29 Sept. 1791, proved 29 Sep. 1799, naming as his heir his nephew Noadiah, son of Judah Woodruff (No 25)."
