JOSEPH, b. at E. H., Ap. 16, 1705 ; m. there, May 22, 1727, Lucretia, dau. of John and Mary (Willey) Holmes, who was the widow of Willey, and was less than 16 years old at the time of her 2d marriage, having been born at N. L. July 14, 1711. [Holmes Gen., p. 53.] She d. between 1742 and 1746. He m. (2d) with Rebecca , and d. Jan. 9, 1790, " aged ab. 85 years." His widow Rebecca d. Nov. 2, 1807, in her 83d year. Administration of her estate was granted Dec. 7, 1807, to Aaron Willey. The inventory amounted to $121.61. Seth Willey appears as administrator, Jan. 30, 1810, and distribution was made May 2, 1814, to Barney, Rebecca, Aaron, Dimmis, Seth, Titus and Caroline Willey, and Jemima Lee. A note against Ephraim Willey, who was probably their half brother, was part of the estate.
