Baltimore, Maryland Volume I - Page 37 Joseph Wilbore settled in Little Compton, R. I. On December 15, 170, William Wilbore, his father, gave him thirty acres of land. This was the beginning of his farm near the Commons, directly south of the C. R. Wilbor store and owned in 1870 by the widow of Otis Wilbor, the town clerk (see map of 1870). It is now owned by Mrs. Isaac W. Howland. The northern boundary on the old proprietor's map was lot eight of first division of house lots. Joseph Wilbore is buried in the old burying ground on this place and the inscription is as follows: "In memory of Joseph Wilbore, son of William of Portsmouth, who emigrated to Little Compton, R.
