- Notwithstanding the sources cited on this page (Wheeler,Hudson), this Joseph Wheeler did not marry Elizabeth Holloway. He was too young to marry in 1718, 13 years younger than Elizabeth, and Elizabeth's grave is found in Northborough next to another Joseph Wheeler and her father Adam Holloway.
