    Probably [son of Joseph1 Torrey, b. ca. 1647. A Joseph Torrey Jr. was made a freeman of Newport on 29 Oct. 1668. Two days later he served on a jury in Newport. Perhaps he was dead by 29 Nov. 1676, when Samuel Hubbard quoted Joseph Torrey as saying "my all" was in Squamicut.
