↑ There is a second birth record in the Newbury VRs, 1:522, dated 2 Apr 1681. Given the birth of brother Benaiah in 1679, the birth in Jan 1680 must be 1680/81, which conflists with Apr 1681, and the birth of Edmund in 1682 makes it impossible that the April date should have been 1682. There is no way to reconcile these records except to presume that possibly the April record is actually a baptism?
