    -12 May 1745 Benjamin Burdick of Westerly yeoman & wife Elizabeth for £280 to Joseph Tanner of Charlestown yeoman, 173 acres bounded: James Nichols, John Sheldon, highway, John Phillips (part of the 20th farm in the 3rd division of the great Purchase right).

    -10 Oct 1752, p. 138 Johannah Tanner of Exeter widow & adm to estate of Joseph Tanner late of Exeter deceased informed council that her husband at his death owed considerable more than his personal estate amounted to. He also left 5 small children to be brought up.
