Source:Rugg, Ellen R. Descendants of John Rugg, p. 391, identifies this Joseph as the one who married Ruth Glazier in 1738. He would have been 15! This seems incredibly unlikely. Ruth is said to be b. 1724, so only 14! There is only one reason parents would conceivably let their children marry that young, and yet the first child is not born until 1746. So clearly something is missing or wrong here. There is another Ruth Glazier b. Lancaster in 1709 who would be more likely to be the one marrying in 1738, but then we would have to find an older Joseph to go with her... More work is needed.
