   Joseph Polk, Sen., and his wife Isabella, lived in Botetourt Co. in the early 1800's. In the 1810 Census, the following are listed:
   William Polk - 6 males to 10 and 1-26/45; 1 female to 10 and 1-10/16 and 1-26/45
   Joseph Polk, Sen. - 1 male 45 up; 1-25/45; 1 female 26/45.
   Joseph Polk, Jr. - 1 male 16/26 and 1-26/45; 1 female 26/45.
   The children of Joseph and Isabella Polk included Joseph, William, Margaret and Jane.
   Jane Polk was born circa 1772. She married Philip Williams of Montgomery Co. (the area later became Floyd Co.) Their marriage bond is on file in the Botetourt Co. Courthouse in Fincastle dated, 8th day of May, 1804. The marriage date is also listed in records there as May 29, 1804. Jane and Philip Williams lived and died in Floyd Co., Va.
   Their children were: Isabel born 1809 - she married William Guthrie in 1834 in Floyd Co.
